Using a range of 3d modelling and animation techniques, you must develop a high quality series of ‘idents’ for a TV channel of your choice that incorporates a number of different visual elements.
A TV ident is the short video which plays a few seconds before a programme starts, informing the viewer of which channel they are watching. As a promotional sequence, it is a critical part of a TV stations identity. You will choose a TV Channel of your choice and must incorporate its existing logo in your work. You could incorporate the chosen company’s wider visual identity or come up with a completely new and original visual identity for this module. You will research visual work associated with the project you are working on and produce a series of visual idents that delivers the appropriate branding and establishes a clear, distinct visual style for the TV Channel you have chosen.
